Program and Fee Changes

October 11th, 2011 by Allen James

January 1, 2011, the American Red Cross (ARC) began to implement significant changes in their training standards, customer fees, authorized provider fees, and regional organization structure. They have taken gradual steps over many months to put these changes in place. National ARC has begun the process to nationalize the local Chapters into a more businesslike nationwide structure. Management is now on a regional basis with standard class pricing across the country. Your local Chapter now is a local office of the national ARC, not an independent organization. How will these changes impact you? Let’s take a look: Read more HERE

Hands-Only CPR (For Witnessed Sudden Collapse)

July 31st, 2011 by Allen James

CPR Training Marin CountyMany people have asked me about Hands-Only CPR. First, let me make this clear. Hands-Only CPR training is NOT a replacement for formal CPR training that carries a certificate that can be used in the workplace or to satisfy professional licensing training requirements. It is simple training for people who do not need a certificate but want to respond when a sudden cardiac emergency happens in front of them. This simple training can be of great value until advanced trained personnel arrive. Read more HERE

CPR Training Services

March 22nd, 2011 by Allen James

Planning for CPR training is critical for the effective and efficient use of down time within agriculture, schools and businesses. Safety training may be at the bottom of your list of things to do but it will be important when the emergency hits your operation. Keeping that important 10 minute window open until emergency responders arrive is critical to the survival of your field, warehouse, and production workers, students and teachers, and employees. Having a well stocked first aid kit, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and current CPR and first aid training can make a significant difference to the survival and recovery of emergency victims.
